Knowing what to do during a waxing moon phase has been critical to manifesting the life of my dreams. But during a waxing moon, there are certain things you should Not do. Do you know what they are?
The moon cycles every 28 days from New to Full to New again. The phases of the Lunar Cycle listed in order consists of New Moon, Waxing Crescent, First Quarter, Waxing Gibbous, Full Moon, Waning Gibbous, Last Quarter,Waning Crescent until we have a new, New Moon.
The period between New and Full represents growth while the moon is waxing or growing. During the waxing moon phase, the gravitational pull and angle with the sun transitions to reflect more and more light each day.
The period between Full and New is called waning or disseminating. When the moon is waning, the night sky is getting darker and darker as less light reflects on the moon.
Make no mistake- I’m not saying that you should eat cookie dough for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! I’m just saying that isn’t the time for limitations and constraints. Obviously, consult your medical professional and always follow their instructions. I’m just encouraging to align your timing with the moon’s energy.
The waxing moon intention should be on gaining health, increasing strength, and growing healthy habits. Try to expand your workout routine, or increasing your daily number of steps. This is a great time to learn new recipes (healthy ones if you’re trying to lose weight.)
Since the moon is growing this is literally a time for expansion and progression. I like focusing on promoting healing with healthy foods, exercises, and habits I can add to my life.
So, when should you diet? Never… Just kidding. I recommend starting diets while the moon is waning because the lunar energy is conducive to constricting and reducing but again, consult your doctor.
You heard me right. The waxing moon says that don’t wax, shave, or pluck in a first quarter moon (if you can get away with it). Hair grows faster during a waning moon. It is as through the growth of the moon is acting as a magnet to grow hair. Sounds crazy? Well check out the farmer’s almanac for the best days to cut hair to slow growth. You will quickly notice that they correspond with the Waning moon- not the Waxing moon.
The waxing moon phase is very clearly the best time to cut to encourage growth. This applies to plants, hair, nails etc. Waxing moon phase is a great time to trim nails to promote healthy growth. I recommend creating waxing moon rituals of self-care such as, facemasks, pedicures, and bubble baths! We can always use more self-care!
I don’t know about you, but I want hair on my head, not on my legs. So, if you are so suited that you can wear long pants for a few days, shave, wax and pluck during the waning moon instead. When I can I get on a three-week waning moon calendar rotation I notice I need to shave my legs less because I have less hair.

Flowers are a beautiful addition to any setting, but the colorful blooms tend to only last for a few days or a week. Drying flowers is a great way to preserve them for display in a vase or frame in your home.
Depending on the type of flower, there are several different techniques for drying flowers that can all be easily done at home with items you have on hand.
To ensure the flowers retain the most color, cut them before they are fully open. The flowers should also dry in a dark, cool place so sunlight doesn’t fade the colors.
If you’re trying to dry a bouquet (like a wedding bouquet), it’s best to dry it as soon as you’re done using it since the flowers more than likely have been cut for at least a day. If you happen to receive cut flowers like roses, it may be tempting to leave the flowers in a vase until all the blooms fully open. However, if you really want to save the flowers for sentimental sake, you’ll want to dry them before they’re completely open.
The most common (and pretty much foolproof) method is to gather the flowers in small bundles or individually and hang them upside-down. I always use a clothes hanger and rubber bands, and I tie flowers together at the stem and then

I don’t know about you, but when I first discovered magic was real, everything looked magical and exciting to me.
Sure, it helped that I was still a kid, so it was easy to see everything as magical back then.
But I’m sure the same thing happens to all the people who discover magick as adults too.
And like all things that are new and exciting, we want to find ways to incorporate them into our everyday lives.
And that’s great actually, and there are really effective ways to incorporate magic into our daily lives.
In fact, I see yet another post on how to incorporate magic into our daily lives pop up at least once a week. And some of these posts have really great ideas!
There are some very popular ideas on how to incorporate magic into our daily lives and mundane activities though that really make me scratch my head and wonder WHY they are so popular, because there is zero logic behind them.
Others aren’t just illogical but they are also dangerous.
So I decided to go through a few of those really popular ideas and explain what my issue with them is, and provide some alternatives.
Don’t get me wrong, I love fashion as much as the next girl.
But for the love of baby Hecate, can someone explain to me why so many people seem to think that dressing like a witch can do sh*t about your magic?
Looking like a witch just means you look like a witch. It’s not a magical act. It does nothing to help your magic be more effective.
In fact, in many cases it may be a big reason why some of your spells aren’t working that well.
If you ask me, unless you’re still a teen or your in a profession where dressing like that would be considered normal or cool or helpful, dressing “witchy” is just a way to be seen as weird.
I’ve been practicing magic since before high school, yet if I was supposed to interview you for a job that has nothing to do with magic and you came in looking like you woke up and wore your costume from last Halloween then your chances of me hiring you would have plummeted before you’d even get a chance to say hello.
So next time you start wondering why your spell to get hired failed, consider the possibility that the issue wasn’t in the way the spell was executed, but in the fact that you showed up for your interview with the biggest pentagram you could find and a T-shirt proclaiming you’re a witch.
This is another tip I’ve read hundreds of times.
Unlike the previous tip, it isn’t dangerous in any way and it won’t kill your career opportunities or social life.
But I still find it
